Pula Golf

Pula Golf was founded in 1995. In 2004, José Maria Olazábal began the redesign of the course, remodelling 6 holes. In 2005, another 6 holes were remodelled and the last 6 holes were completed in 2006, satisfying the requirements of international and professional golf.

It has been transformed into arguably the most challenging course in Mallorca, a par 70 from the white tees and par 72 for amateurs which is 6,246m long. Of the 18 holes, the green can be seen from the tee on 14 of them and from the 2nd shot on the other 4.

Pula Golf also has a large driving range, 2 putting greens and a pitching green, and one of the aspects of this course, owned by Romeo Sala Massanet, which sets it apart from others are the services it offers through the PGA Professional coaches Dieter Cabus, Markus Baltes, Tomeu Ferrer and Pedro J. Sureda.

Pula Golf is a venue which has hosted important events since its beginnings, such as the 2nd Johann Cruyff Welfare Foundation Tournament (1996), the Mallorca Skins Game (1997) with Jose María Olazábal, Bernhard Langer, Mark McNulty and Carl Suneson, the Mallorca Pula Golf Franz Beckenbauer Stiftung Tournament (1998), the Mallorca Pula Golf Claudia Schiffer Tournament (1999), the Peugeot OKI Professional Tour Tournament (2001 and 2002), the Men’s Senior Spanish Championship (2002), the Junior Boys Inter-Territorial Spanish Championship (2002), and the Mallorca Classic Championships (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007), a European Tour event which counted towards the Volvo Order of Merit and qualification for the Ryder Cup.

In 2008, the first Mallorca Golf Island Skins Game was played at Pula Golf on 27 October, one of the most entertaining golf formats with José María Olazábal, Emanuele Canónica, Justin Rose and Martin Kaymer.
