Description
We depart from Palma at 9:30 aboard our air-conditioned coach and drive directly to Lluc, one of the most beautiful places in the Tramuntana Mountains. During this during this drive, your expert local guide will provide you with comprehensive information about the day ahead. Around 10:40 we will make our first stop in Lluc, where you will have 40 minutes to stretch your legs and explore the famous Lluc Monastery, one of the highlights of the Tramuntana Mountain Range. Thanks to our years of experience of organising tours in Mallorca, we have decided to make our rest stop here, unlike other tour companies that will have you visit a leather factory in Inca. But you will find no commercial stops on our tours; our customers’ satisfaction comes before financial gain. We will continue on our beautiful journey through the mountains, and you will enjoy complete peace of mind as your skillful driver effortlessly takes you weaving down the breathtaking “snake road” to Sa Calobra. At Sa Calobra, one of the most photographed beaches on the west coast, you will have free time to walk through the corridor in the rock, taking you to the famous beach, which is alsocthe mouth of the Torrent de Pareis Gorge. The boat ride from Sa Calobra to Puerto de Soller is another of the highlights of this tour, and you will feel the Mediterranean breeze on your face as you enjoy breathtaking mountain views, but this time from the sea. Our boat docks in Puerto de Soller right by the old tramway, which is still used by locals as a mode of transport between Soller and Puerto de Soller. We will board the tram and stand shoulder to shoulder with the local people as it trundles along the harbour-front and then heads up through the orange and lemon groves to Soller Old Town. Soller is one of the gems of the Tramuntana Mountains, and we have designed our itinerary in such a way as to give you 40 minutes’ free time there so you can enjoy the main square, dominated by the baroque-gothic church with its modernist façade. Or you can take a look around the works of art by Picasso and Miró that are on display in the Soller Train Station. We take the world famous Soller wooden carriage train from the Old Town of Soller to the outskirts of Palma. This journey is a highlight of the excursion and a much-awaited once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many people. The ride on this vintage train from 1912 takes you through the Valley of Soller and through the tunnels in the mountains before emerging into the countryside for the last part of the ride. At the train station the other end, your original coach will be waiting to pick you up for the short drive back to Palma to end the day having had a wonderful experience and leaving us with amazing memoriesIncludes
Return transport on an air conditioned coach (which will be the same coach all day meaning you can leave things onboard if you need to). Local guide who will escort you throughout the day giving you a full commentary of the areas you visit. Soller train journey (50 minutes). Soller Tram Journey (25 minutes). Boat trip from Sa Calobra to Puerto Soller (45 minutes). Stop at Lluc Monastery. Travel insuranceImportant Information
